The Government of Meghalaya issued notification on Thursday for resumption of classes for students

Shillong: DP Wahlang, Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya’s Education Department, issued a notification on Thursday for resumption of the classes in the state and also issued a set of guidelines to be followed while opening schools as directed by the Centre as a part of its “unlock” initiative.

As per the guidelines, the regular class activities for schools, colleges, and other educational institutes will continue to remain closed up to 30th September 2020. However activities like teacher-student counselling, submission of assignments, clearing doubts and other student guidance related activities will be permitted. Students attending classes would have to get a written consent of their parents or guardian for visiting the educational institutions.
