The National Center for Seismology pinpointed the quake&#8217;s epicenter at a location around 49 kilometers southeast of Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya, with the depth of the earthquake measured at 16 kilometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities from the Regional Seismological Centre confirmed the epicenter&#8217;s proximity to Meghalaya&#8217;s West Jaintia Hills district, specifically the Dawki area.
