Churachandpur : Health and Family Welfare Minister L Jayenta Kumar today informed today thet the work to set up the first medical college at Churachandpur is all set to start sometime next month. The medical college will come up at the cost of RS. 329 Cr. on a 23 acre of land near Mata village.
The Minister Visited the site on Saturday with the Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Vumlunmang Vualnam along with other officials. He said that that Rs 263 crore out of the total project cost of Rs 329 crore have already been released and the the construction will start as soon as possible.
According to Dr VC Pau Tonsing, CMO Churachandpur Dr VC Pau Tonsing, the new medical college will be named – Hills Institute of Medical Sciences.
