IMPHAL: Manipur deputy chief minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh was expelled from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect for six years.
In a statement issued by Thongkam Haokip, general Secretary (admin) of NPP Manipur unit said “Joykumar Singh has been expelled for six years based on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee (of the party) “.
With his expulsion, Joykumar Singh has ceased to be a primary member of NPP, Manipur. On August 26, NPP chief Conrad Sangma had expelled the Manipur president Thangminlien Kipgen for going against the party’s constitution. Joykumar Singh is the party’s second leader in Manipur to have been expelled in last 30 days.
