Transport Department&#8217;s letter also informed that in order to discuss the various  issues of AAMTA,  Transport Minister has convened a meeting  with them on the 6th of October at Administrative staff College, Khanapara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, The All Assam Motor Transport Association (AAMTA) had called for an indefinite \u2018Chakka Bandh\u2019 from Monday demanding for a hike in bus fares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AATMA on Friday said that they have been forced to take this decision in view of the losses incurred by them due to the lockdown in view of  Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AAMTA further alleged that the government has increased the prices of  petrol and diesel, however, it has turned a blind eye to the demands of the association to increase bus fare. The government has ordered to carry 50 per cent passengers .
