Guwahati: The written test for recruitment of sub-inspector of police in Assam Police, which was scheduled to be held on September 20, was cancelled as the question paper was leaked through social media in the morning on Sunday. 

The decision to cancel the test, to be conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), was taken as the question paper was leaked a day before the exam, informed the chairman of the recruitment board. 

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today ordered an inquiry into the question paper leak. The Chief Minister also directed the Director General of Police, Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta to investigate into the matter and conduct an inquiry to find out the culprits.
