GUWAHATI : A 25 yr old final year medical student was found dead in the campus of the hostel No 4 of Guwahati Medical College (GMC) on Monday night.

The death of Ningchingpeung Panme, an MBBS final year Guwahati is still a mystery for police.

Panmi hailed from Dima Hasao district and was a boarder of room no 113 of hostel No. 4 of GMCH. The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, police said.

The body was found in a semi-naked state with injury marks on the body and face of the student.

As per Principal & Superintendent of GMCH, he might have been suffering from depression as he failed in certain subjects and hence could not complete the course in time
