GUWAHATI: All restaurants running the trade of Hookah Bar under the jurisdiction of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) have been asked to close such activities within 7 days.

The government of Assam, through the Guwahati Development Department (GDD), has notified for closure of all the trades in respect of Hookah Bar operating within the city of Guwahati vide an Order No. GDD/233/2020 dt 19th Oct 2020 issued on 18th Dec 2020.

As per the order no further renewal/ issuance of trade license for Hookah Bar will be entertained by Guwahati Municipal Corporation.
