GUWAHATI: The indefinite strike called by the All Assam Motor Transport Association (AAMTA) hit the normal life in the state and would continue till Govt. accepts their demand for fare hikes.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Assam government called for a meeting with AAMTA to discuss the issue and sort out the problem. However, during the meeting, the government did not succeed in meeting the demands of the bus operators.
