GUWAHATI: Amid the on-going weekend lockdown in Assam, the state’s Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna via an order issued on August 28, Friday, permitted the movement of people on working Saturdays to and fro their places of work. 

In partial modification of the order dated August 13 (Unlock 3.0 in Assam), Sanjay Krishna announced that the movement of the officials and staff of state/central government departments including PSUs and Autonomous bodies, as well as banks and persons on essential services, shall be allowed to attend their office duties from 5 am to 9 pm on all the working Saturdays across the state.
