In view of increasing number of Covid-19 positive cases in the district of Lower Suhansiri and in order to contain the spread of COVID-19, there is a need for more stringent measures to check its further spread within the District as recommended by the District Medical Officer Ziro vide letter No MED/LS/COVID-19/Com(D1)-3/2019-20/260-61 dated Ziro the 18 May 2021 .

In view of above, Smti Somcha Lawang, APCS, DC-cum-District Magistrate-cum Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) declared the entire Lower Subansiri District as Containment Zone for a period of 9 (Nine Days) w.e.f. 5AM of 22nd May 2021 to 5 AM on 31″ May 2021 with following orders and directions

A. The following activities are suspended during the entire period of district containment:
1. Movement of people including the vehicles.

2. All Transport services shall remain suspended
3. Offices and Institutes both Government and private.

4. All shops, restaurant, hotels and commercial establishment
5. All kind of social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions and other gatherings.
